Re: ARP Broadcasts not being received?
All devices need to belong to the same L2 ? If not, maybe using the wireless interface of the asus as WAN (with no NAT) and adding a static route on the ER, for the 'new' network behind the asus...

LOLIt exist in my config.I must say it would have been a "GameChanger"..So if this config is not valid I have to find a new config...BR0...Hmmmmm???!!

View ArticleRe: Edge Switch: VLAN rewrite / translation
Okay then ... lemme rephrase it - EdgeSwitches (unless UBNT snuck the feature in recently / under a different name) only do switching and that limited routing I mentioned. I am not aware of any "VLAN...

because you are looking for a different ip address, not the one of the asus
View ArticleRe: Can I add VIF to Switch0
Okay, it "exists" in your config ... however, that doesn't mean that it "exists" in a way that the router can address / work with it. If I'm correctly interpreting what you're trying to do, I think...

View ArticleRe: ARP Broadcasts not being received?
On your previous post before it was edited, .45 asks, with broadcast, 'Who has 192.168.1.127' ?But the asus may not respond to that request
View ArticleRe: L2TP too slow
OK so per your suggestions I have changed to a more conventional configuration. I did a hard reset and started all over. Now the WAN is eth0, and the LAN is eth4, and the switch is in normal operation....
View ArticleRe: ARP Broadcasts not being received?
Do you happen to know why .127 would never receive the broadcast at all though?
View ArticleRe: Can I have a guest network and private network with 1 AP using ER-X
Thanks but I was hoping to leverage existing AP. Unfortunately vlan is not supported so I'll need to save up.

How did you revole this?I am having the same problem. I have Port forwarding setup but Ubiquiti Gateway still blocks traffic in.
View ArticleRe: ARP Broadcasts not being received?
Most probably because the arp-broadcasts on the 'wireless side' reach the asus before, and if are not directed to itself, it ignores these packets .....But, to be honest, I don't know how exactly this...

Did you use the wizard to build the L2TP tunnel? Cause your issue looks kinda like this one, so the MSS clamping value might be the problem:...

Did you check your IPSec offload settings? It isn't listed in your configuration so I'm not sure whether it's being enabled or not.

Hi, I'm following this thread closely and thanks for the details (i had no clue how to adjust the advanced options parameters). My link is 22Mbs down, 1.5Mbs up. I already discovered that QoS on the...
View ArticleRe: EdgeRouter X Losing Speed
The problems with QOS being applied to the download side are a CPU limitation issue. That issue is not going to exist on a 22/1.5 DSL line. You'd have to get close to 70-80Mbps combined to hit that...

I'm going to go in for the kill and order. Also going to pickup two TL-SG108E Smart Switches as only have 2 runs by the main entertainment system and have another run to the other side of the house...
View ArticleRe: EdgeRouter X Losing Speed
I understand the CPU limitation. If i set 22Mbs on the download side, i see improved latency, but something like 18-19Mbs. this probably points to configuration of the smart queue parameters, yes?
