I can confim this is now fixed for me in ER firmware 1.9.1 in Firefox 50.1.0 on Windows 7 x64. Previously I had the same error as described in the original post on this systems since Firefox 47.

Freeze, One way to check if it is the DNS or not is to use a different DNS (such as 8.8.8.8 google for example). Also, you could take out the router all together and plug directly into the demarcation....
