Hi,
I've about had it with or hodge podge of consumer grade equipment. We will be switching to Fios later this months so am planning to tidy up some cabling in the next few weekends and hopefully install a new router before Fios.
The house is ~6000 square feet on 2 acres and I do plan some outdoor APs. At the moment we have 4 people and may have 16+ computers, streamers, and iDevices connected in a given day. My goal is to establish vlans to isloate steaming, WiFi and PCs. My NAS is currently not (I hope!) exposed to the internet. WiFi performance is the most common complaint and I don't find that surprising as one wifi router is in the basement and the other is on the opposite side of the hous on the first of 2 floors.
This is my current network. The routers are also WiFi access points with only the first router providing NAT services. Currently we do not store and stream much data from the NAS. It is used as a simple fileshare and timemachine for backups.

My plan is to use the US-24-250W UniFi switch and 3 AC Pro AP access points. I am hoping one located on the ceiling of a 2 story entry way will cover most of the house. I'd add another in the basement and maybe the third in the kitchen. I could see adding some cameras in the future. My thought was that they could go on the streaming vlan or their own.
What improvements would you suggest in the approach, design or hardware?
Would you opt for the Edgerouter Pro vs Lite? If so, why and how might th extra ports be used?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and suggestions!
