Hey afomins,
I haven't tried the other ports.
Also i'd check the log and there is something strange going on. Even with nat disabled dhclient.c tries to send packages to (disabled) eth1. ddclient seems to try it also via eth1.
BUT i think ntpd is causing the re-enabling of eth1 because after "Router ntpd[29922]: ntpd exiting on signal 15" the IF goes UP again.
I've also included a modified log from the router (i've clipped older messages and some always retuning things). If you need the full untouched version, please let me know
EDIT: Wait, why is 192.168.2.1 in the resolv.conf (default gateway of eth1 -- written by /opt/vyatta/sbin/vyatta_update_resolv.pl)? it shouldn't be there if the IF is down, right? - IF is currently really down
