I can log in via a serial console with the default ubnt/ubnt user, I can create a new admin user and log in with that user also on the serial console, but I can't seem to use either of these accounts to log in to the GUI. Any pointers on what may be going wrong?

 are you adding users using sudo/bash, or via the actual set commands in configure mode? If it's the former - that's why. If it's the latter, is the GUI actually running? what does netstat show? What about the logs?
