I've never had any eMMC fail in EdgeRouters.
I've had flash fail in earlier EdgeRouter Lites.
I believe the USB sticks used these days are fine though as I haven't had new ones fail yet.
That said, if a USB stick does fail, it's pretty easy to buy a Sandisk Cruzer Fit and replace it, never had one of those fail.
