I'm aware that this would affect all upstream and thus downstream traffic. The alternative is having 90+% packet loss on some UDP connections and not being able to make phone calls.
I have only one connection to the internet, with insufficient bandwidth, and am trying to get more bandwidth since September, which so far no one is able to deliver.
So what other choice is there but limiting TCP connections when bandwidth for UPD is required?
And again, what's the point of traffic shaping when it doesn't work anyway? Either you have sufficient bandwidth, in which case you don't need traffic shaping, or you don't, in which case you need traffic shaping that does actually work.
