Thats what I have, the newer/smaller black Microcell by Cisco. It was working just fine being on Netgear Nighthawk R8500.

I am a bit confused... you state you have assigned it a public IP address, yet you also mention SNAT and DNAT? Where does NAT come into play if you have provisioned a public IP?
If you look in my config file, I've got Microcell on a public ip 67.xx.xxx.97 that resolves to a private 192.168.1.8. The reason I did that is because I've tried to port forward, it didnt work and I also need port 443 to be routed to another server. So I figured, I'll open 67.xx.xxx.97 and assign just the Microcell to it (sort of a DMZ). I had to SNAT and DNAT to alow traffic regardless of ports to flow to 67.xx.xxx.97/192.168.1.8.
As far as problems im having, 3 bottom lights will light up and stay, the upper light on Microcell that indicates succesfull connection - is flashing. I've tried rebooting Microcell, deleted it and reactivated, used different ip's and tried to just forward ports. I'm definately missing something, cant figure out what it is. Maybe i didnt properly open the darn thing to WAN or LAN.
