I strongly recommend always upgrading from CLI. It'll show you the progress and error messages (if any). And you can decide to reboot or not afterwards.
- To upgrade firmware to 1.8.5 from CLI
- add system image http://dl.ubnt.com/firmwares/edgemax/v1.8.5/ER-e50.v1.8.5.4884695.tar
- Reboot after successful upgrade
- reboot now
- If the upgrade failed, check which image is set as default for next boot and revert to current one.
- show system image ...will show which one is active for next boot
- set system image default-boot ...will swap the default boot image
