Re: Business Park Build your own WISP - Help Needed.

In general I think what you have would work - however, you don't really need or want to have the static IP's on all individual radios.  The below is simply one way of doing it- not saying it's the best way to fit your specific requirements but should work.

1.  Setup OSPF on router (public & private networks)

2.  Setup public IP network

Example:  8.8.8.0/28

Gateway: 8.8.8.1 (assigned on router)

Mask:  255.255.255.240

- Internal assigned:  8.8.8.2 - 8.8.8.4

- Neighbor assigned:  8.8.8.5 - 8.8.8.14

3.  Setup internal IP network

Internal Network:  10.0.0.0/24

Gateway: 10.0.0.1/24 (assigned on router)

4.  Install each Access Point radio on your location using an internal IP (bridge mode)

A - 10.0.0.15

B - 10.0.0.17

C - 10.0.0.19

D - 10.0.0.21

5.  Install each Station radio on your neighbors location using an internal IP (bridge mode)

A - 10.0.0.16

B - 10.0.0.18

C - 10.0.0.20

D - 10.0.0.22

6.  Install a simple router at each neighbors location that has the public IP information programmed on one side and they can manage their internal side of things.

In this manner you only use one public IP per client location and it's always on a router so that you can have proper firewall/nat as needed.

I would also tend to use something in the AC line (i.e. NanoBeam-5ac-19) for the radios as you're working with a gigabit connection and the cost isn't that much more.

A downside to doing the setup as you've indicated is that you have to add new radios at your location everytime someone else wants to connect or if a neighbor wants to add another connection point.  If however you setup two redundant access points on your building then you could connect 1 to many neighbors - and a new connection/setup for whatever reason could be done without any changes on your end.
