EdgeRouter Lite throughput performance

Hi community

I´m in the process of upgrading my Internet connection from 50/50Mbit to 1000/1000Mbit. I would like to replace my 8 year old SOHO router with something that can handle the new connection. 

I´m looking at the EdgeRouter Lite. I don´t need PoE and a lot of interfaces. I have a small switch that is going to be connected to the EdgeRouter. 

But i´m not sure if the EdgeRouter can deliver a throughput that matches my 1000Mbit connection. Anyone out there have any experience?
