When my free pentests credits ran out I was doing it internally. I have access now to a PC outside of my house and indeed 15 miles away over Teamviewer. A port scan isn't coming up with the ports it was before and entering my public IP into a web browser on the remote PC doesn't complete. I'm also not getting and responses to ping commands either. So far so good then!
Next question is a friend of mine who works in the infosec business said something about blocking IMCP requests (I think). Is there a guide out there for newbies like me to follow to try and lock down any possible routes of ingress or am I just being paranoid?
