Hey Guys,
i use ER-PoE5 on the most of my sites. 3 weeks ago, a ER was rebooted due to power failure. After power was back ER did not start. With the console-port we saw that SQUASHFS was not able to mount the root partition table. "Can not read from block ...."
So we thougt, that this issue was raised by short power interruption.
Today we discovered a second device with that failure. The Router is running, but DMESG shows also "Can not read from block"... And the webserver is not able to serve the WebGUI.
After checking serval Devices, we saw, that there are many devices outside with SQUASHFS read failures.
Is there a crap USB-Storage installed in ER-PoE5?
Will will start to replace all USB-Storages installed in the ER-PoE5s. But why is the factory installed USB-Storage failing after about 1 - 2 years?
Is ER-PoE5 not situable for use as Router for Site-Installations?
That is not carrier grade.
