Apologies for the long post, I just wanted to be clear. You answered my most important question, how to get back in to the ERX after the first setup and reboot.
About casdading NAT's, with the wndr4000 added to the dmzplus of the pace, the wndr4000 gets a public IP through the PACE. my NAT's show type 2 on xb1 and ps4. My understanding is this is the best I'll ever get short of letting the ps4 see the public IP. here's the relevant info for the PACE for passthrough mode: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r30811815-PACE-5268AC-set-to-Bridge-Mode-IP-Passthrough. So I'm expecting I can get the ERX to get a public IP address after adding it to the dmzplus.
I'll know soon enough if the smart queue can't deal with bufferbloat on upload, or if I can't configure it. I think I have all the relevant info needed and know how to test it. This latency has been showing up lately as very laggy game play. I got to this point, replacing the wndr4000 with the ERX, after replacing att's older RG with the PACE box (which they use for their gigabit service in other areas), because of lag. I think I now see why we have the lag and my goal is to try and solve it.
