Thanks for the recommendations. Might I just briefly ask how your network is set up? I'm thinking comcast modem, Ubiquiti router, dell PowerConnect Switch ... and then have all of the computers connected to the switch; Yeah I know, overkill for a small apartment, but I like to learn. LOL I should also ask, if you've got no issues with this, from which does your cable box get its IP? That's the one I'm most worried about; I know that they can be a pain to get working initially; not to mention, the possibility of their being two different networks with the TV box being on the upper one, while the rest of the stuff is on the lower one. Also, keep in mind, we don't have ethernet at all; all coax.
