First, the DNS update works perfectly.
For some reason, Comcast has begun to periodicaly re-assign new DHCP addresses. It used to be unless I was down for more than eight (8) hours, I have kept some addresses for years.
Now when Comcast makes my ERL3 take a new address, DNS updates my domain but my hairpin rules fail because the have the old address and I have to update the rules by hand.
Usually use ( vi + global substitute + configure + load + commit + save + exit ) the CLI but an unattended solution just like DNS would be perfect.
Is there a better way to configure the external address rather than hard-code it which will be orphaned after a new external interface address assignment?
