room, I got a small TP-LINK WiFi travel router. I have set up this travel router in client mode so I can connect over WiFi. I also have an edgerouter x and unifi ap ac lite. Does anyone know how I can set up multicast on the edgerouter, and I guess I'll also need it on the travel router.
When doing a bit of research I stumbled upon a post saying that multicast cuts out all other network activity for that eth port, and as I have it connect to my ap, would everyone else get disconnected when watching TV. If this isn't a problem or there is a way around this please comment but if worst comes to worse then I do have another cheap no brand travel router that doesn't work in repeater/client mode but does work in AP mode and I could set up its own hidden network, but ideally I would not want this.
Just imagine I know nothing about networking, might make it a bit more simple.
