OK folks. This is my first community question so please bare with me as I am VERY new to the use and configuration of the EdgeMAX product line.
So let me start with what my intent is to do.
I’m a member of a private yacht club and a colleague and myself took it upon ourselves to fix every existing problem with our WiFi network. You see our previous Commodore decided to hire someone to do an install of the first network and it was a piece of junk (a mixed bag of used parts) I the reason we chose the Ubiquiti line was mainly because I have a bullet on my boat and I love it!
So this we did … We purchased: (1) 8-Port Gigabit EdgeRouter PRO and (1) EdgeSwitch 8-Port Managed PoE+
Our intent is to have an Ubuntu 16.04 LTS workstation running the Unifi software and manage the wifi network and be able to get to it remotely.
In addition we purchased: (2) R5AC-PTMP Base stations, (2) Ubiquiti Antenna AM-5G16 5Ghz 16dBi 120-deg Dual-Pol Sector Antennas, (5) Ubiquiti Nanostation M5 airMAX , (5)Ubiquiti UniFi AP-Outdoor+ (2.4Ghz)(BUT THAT WILL BE TALKED ABOUT IN ANOTHER THREAD.)
So here is the status, I have the ERPro 8 configured with eth 06 and 07 as my 2 WAN ports (eth6 with static IP of 216.x.x.110 and eth7 static of 216.x.x.111). I also have eth0 configured as my LAN with DHCP (192.x.x.x) and the ES 8 150W plugged into that port with DHCP address 192.168.3.241. I then have the Ubuntu workstation plugged into interface 1, and the 2 Base stations plugged into interfaces 2 and 3
I also at this time have the ERPro 8 configured for remote access on 443 and 22. And I can manage it remotely!
SO the question is… How do configure the ERPro-8 to allow remote management of the ES 8 150W (192.168.3.241) as well as access to the Unifi controller running on the Ubuntu workstation (192.168.1.5) OR https:Ubuntuworkstation:8443…. I know is something to do with port forwarding but I’m at a loss
